What do you think about Nicki Minaj green and blond wig? On BET 106 and Park, rapper Nicki Minaj showed up wearing a blond wig with green dye splattered on it. The hairstyle choice is very funky and adds a twist to a blond wig. I know its just artistic expression, but some people may think it’s clownish and “ghetto”. What are your thoughts?

it do look ghetto. but in a video if she’s like acting or playing a part, it’s OK. On tv though that’s a hell no. Then everybody’s gonna come out next and think they Nikki Manaj and wear color in they’re hair too like all of those other cheap looking styles they got like Rhianna and that punk chic had in her hair at the vmas it looked pretty Katy Perry. I hate how now all of a sudden hollywood stars wanna look like soo cute.- I personally dont care about them too much they’re just people. On second thought adds a twist to a blond wig, aesthetically it’s hot!! as a hairstylist it’s cute really and black hair is beautiful.. I’m a white woman. I I go to an ethnic beauthy school down south in NC and I’m about to graduate. What caught me off guard about the style at first was I guess just the culture in general is changing I feel that(sorry to make this soo long) but, black society are to much about what rappers are doing thesedays, and don’t focus enough attention on their own lives and what their own mother’s are doing!..how pathetic. I could just go on! So Nikki Manaji or Kim Kardashian black or white I dont care really it s actually both white and black cultures just glued to the TV! I hope that helped somebodys viewpoint cuz I’m just tired of that tv that’s why I’m always on her internet not everybody’s life is easy, people work! So people need to stay off the TV and start making a difference in people’s lives a positive one even just expressing an opinion y’all open your mouths. I see alot of people just do what your friend is doing, or do what’s safe. I am not letting my money go. When Katy Perry had those highlights at the vmas who did them?? I know how she did them, so I could have gotten my clients that same beautiful hairdo. I may not be able to do a Versace dress but I damned sure can do some hair. OK, so just because people have green hair they’re now classified as ghetto? that’s so stereotypical, i mean when we wear weave like tracks, quick weave, etc. and someone called us ghetto most likely there’ll be an uproar, but when someone is trying to express their own self people want to judge as if they’re perfect and know how someone should dress, act, and look at all times. this ins’t medieval time where we follow rules, its the time to express yourself through words, fashion, hair, music, so much. so this whole ‘ghetto’ thing just makes me upset on how women, black women are categorized as ‘ghetto, loud, weaveie wonders’. it’s time to stop and actually grow up. and not only does black women go this judgmental stages, but women in every race goes through these stereotypical comments.
