Here are some natural hairstyles for black women over 50 years old that are not wild. The models may be a bit younger but the styling is on point. Any middle aged woman can wear these styles and have a sense of pride without looking foolish. You may be a grandmother but that doesn’t mean that hair can’t be whipped up.
Thank you so much for these pictures. I now need to decide which one to try.
I am in my 50s and have been struggling with my natural hair for the past 6 years. I have shoulder length hair which I moisturise and twist every night with water and cantu curl activator. I also use coconut oil. I lose my twists and wear them clipped back everyday – boring!
My hair seems to be thirsty even with my nightly routine.
Any advice would be welcome.
Try:
1. Silk pillowcase
2. Cantu products may be issue, it was for my natural hair.
3. Try products from Pure. I get mine from Amazon
4. I also use Aussie hair products. The 3 minute conditioner is great.
5.. if you are not already, use a moisturizer in the mornings.
6. Lastly, check your diet. Drinking plenty of water helps skin, hair and nails. I applaud your desire to maintain your natural hair, it’s your crown and glory!!
