Celeb Trend Alert: Textured Hair

It looks like a list of celebs are jumping on the textured hair glam this summer of 2013. Natural hair textures are becoming more admired than looked at as just a 70s hairstyle movement. We love that more and more people are seeing the beauty in kinky, curly, coily, and textured manes.

In the pictures above, not sure if singer/actress Brandy Norwood is wearing a weave, wig, or if its her real hair, whatever the case, she looks beautiful and same for Toni Braxon, Traci Braxton, Ciara, and Kelly Rowland. They all are beautiful!

  • For all you girls who went natural but had chemically processed hair before – have you noticed a huge change in your day to day stress level? Seriously, a rainy day was automatically a bad hair day before, now I get to actually enjoy the rain! I don’t care if it’s hot and I sweat a little, doesn’t bother me anymore! I still wrap my hair up at most nights, but on those nights where I’m up super late, or I just want to collapse into the bed and sleep without making any pit stops…..I cannnnnn. lol so happy.

  • @ Kim

I agree Kim! I BC’d on August 4th and am now embracing my Twa. I can now practice hot yoga, whereas before I would have had to schedule it in during wash days. I also go to a Korean Spa and sit in saunas for hours. When I would go to spa when I was relaxed I would have to tote my flatiron, blow dryer etc. Now I bring my cowash and oil and aloe gel, that’s it. Freedom!!!

  • There are days where I want to wear my hair straight and after a few days I cant wait to wash it and get back my coils. I love my natural hair and I feel more beautiful each day I rock my fierce mane!
