On the night of April 29, 2011 natural hair made a statement at the Curly Girls Rock Atl mix and mingle soiree. Atlanta was the setting for all things natural and curly hair this past weekend. Downtown at the Harlem Nights Lounge if you cruised by you probably was wondering what was taking place with a line that wrapped around the building. Ladies from all over came out to celebrate being a “Curly Girl” and loving natural hair.
With manicures, massages, beauty makeovers, gift bags of goodies, and give-a-ways, three Atlanta bloggers “LexiWithTheCurls”, “MahoganyKnots” and “Me, My Hair & The City” pulled together a fun filled inspiring event for all who attended.
Amongst the attendees were top-notch hair bloggers, vloggers, natural hair brands, and reporters. Such people included celebrity stylist Felicia Leatherwood, Afrobella, Taren916, Natural Chica, Tarin Boone of Naturally Me! Media, Ken Burkeen of Huetiful, Shea Moisture, Jessicurl, Cassadie of Natural Selection, and the list goes on.
