Cornrows

can cornrows get wet

If you just spent time and money getting your hair dbraided you  probably want to know can cornrows get wet. Well the answer is yes but but there will be some consequences. Of course your hair will not be damaged but the problem lies in the fraying if the hairstyle.

Just as you are told to wear a stocking cap or silk wrap to protect your style when you sleep it’s the same for water. Remember natural hair will get dry and frizz up once it gets wet and dries. Therefore getting your cornrows wet will cause them to lose that attractive tight look if you place volumes of water on them. The individual follicles will start to displace themselves from the braiding pattern and this will not be good for your design. So try not to wet them.
